Vertical asphalt tanks come in storage capacities from 10,000 to 35,000 gallons. Heating is provided by heating coils in the bottom of the tank. Heat transfer fluid, circulated by a hot oil heater, flows through the coils and transfers heat to the liquid asphalt stored inside. Electric heating is also available. Numerous options include mixers for polymer-modified asphalt and vent condensers for stringent emissions control.
Portable asphalt tanks come in storage capacities from 10,000 to 35,000 gallons. Heating is provided by heating coils for heat transfer oil in the bottom of the tank. Direct-fired heating from a burner and fire tube is also available. Electric heating is available. The tanks are mounted on an integrated portable chassis.
